MVCA hosted a breakfast conference on June 3 with guest speaker Dr. Abdul Rahman Tolefat from Allianz Takaful, Barhain.

Dr. Tolefat's previous positions includes Head of Islamic Banking Supervision and Head of Strategic Development, both with the Central Bank of Bahrain.  He holds a PhD from Durham University where he specialized in Islamic finance and insurance.

At this event Dr. Tolefat presented "Baharain as the investment hub in the Gulf".  He gave an overview of the country's economical and regulatory characteristics as well as an introduction to the local investment framework with an emphasis on how Bahrain continues to attract foreign capital.   

The presentation was coordinated by Mr. Andreas Buelow from A9C Capital, a Bahrain based technology Private Equity company.
