Zsolt E. Lavotha, has over 30 years of experience in the Global Biotech/Pharmaceutical Industry. His experience includes a wide variety of business related disciplines, including Line/P&L responsability, manufacturing, mergers & acquisitions, IPOs, and all other business operational matters.
Most recently, Mr. Lavotha was the CEO and Director of OREXO AB a Swedish start-up specialty pharma company. Between 1998 and 2003, Mr. Lavotha served as President & CEO, Director, of LAVIPHARM Corp., a start-up drug-delivery company in the USA.
During the years 1993 and 1998, he was the CEO of Europe/Africa/Middle East for WYETH, a global Fortune 100 company, where he was responsible for a business with revenues of over $2billion. His P&L/Line responsibilities included all subsidiary business operations in the territory, with over 9000 employees, manufacturing operations, planning and execution of several significant acquisitions, including the $10billion merger between American Cyanamid and Wyeth business in above territory. During 1973 and 1993, Mr. Lavotha held different positions with increasing responsabilities with PFIZER Corp., including Managing Director for Pfizer's human pharmaceutical business in Sweden; Chairman of the global cardiovascular development team for Norvasc (with over $5bill. in annual sales) at Pfizer HQ in New York; and business operations and development in Europe.
Mr. Lavotha is Hungarian by birth, lived in Hungary, Finland, Sweden, USA and resides since 2003 in Monaco. Mr. Lavotha had or currently has a number of Biotech Board assignments. Mr. Lavotha has a B.Sc. degree from Uppsala University, and senior Executive Business education from Columbia University, NYC, USA.
