MVCA was happy to source two growth companies active in the innovtion and technology space at its co-investment opportunities event on Monday 1 March:

- 3Legs Resources (Isle of Man), third largest holder of unconventionnal gas concessions in Europe, specialized in shale gas exploration projects

- Marine & Remote Sensing Solutions (Monaco) which has developed the MARSStronic technology platform to support a range of risk and cost reduction solutions including anti piracy/terror, man over the board and route optimization solutions for high value maritime assets including commercial shipping, superyachts, ports and offshore installations.

MVCA had the pleasure to welcome the executive director for the private equity fund of fund at Morgan Stanley Investment Management, Christophe Nicholas, for a presentation at a lunch on 26 January.

Christophe Nicholas was eager to share with MVCA members his views on the private equity market and to give members an outlook of the opportunities for 2010.

 

MVCA had the pleasure and honor to have the legendary buy-out fund KKR present to its members.

Perry Golkin, one of KKR's most experienced investors from New York, and Jacques Garaialde, who runs the Paris office, spent quite a bit of time sharing their views on the private equity market, the economic conditions and trends, from a global and European perspective. 

Their presentation was highly appreciated by the audience. 

MVCA was happy to welcome three companies and a fund at its last co-investment opportunities session, held on 24 November.

Presenting at that event were Molecular Power Systems from the USA, youRides from Switzerland, Iris Capital from Paris and Anteryon from The Netherlands.

MVCA members had the pleasure to meet Mr. Lars-Uno Larsson, a serial entrepreneur from Stockholm, Sweden.

Mr. Larsson appreciated to have been invited to speak for MVCA members on 21st October. He introduced a new evolving concept to product innovation, i.e. Biometics.
